  I was really disappointed of the manager who is not friendly and absolutely not flexible. He refused to give us for free two wet suits when we rented 2 surf board, knowing we were a family of 6 that spent 1000€ on lessons the previous days. At this moment I realised that they just want to make money and do not care about customer satisfaction. He said that we didn't not spend so much all together (meaning we are not good customers), and that other customers spent 600€ per person. Jerk. Such ashamed to give this bad feeling to good customer when they had a great time.

  I had a really great time learning kite, I have nothing to complain about, except the disorganization the morning to reach the spot and the high number of student per boat. In one hand it allow to take a break when someone else is learning, but on the other hand it can be boring for people who wants to spend full time in the water. I also felt that they were not pushing/helping/teaching enough the weaker students.

  About surf lesson: on the web site they say the best spot will be selected according to condition. It is not true . For the 4 days, they went to the same location although conditions were not excellent.... surf instructors are quite good but they spend too much time on the beach for the theoretical part. All the other surf schools were on the water (with beginners like in my case) while flag beach school was still on the sand... on a 4 hours session you will spend less than 2 hours in the water. If you break a fin , they will ask you 15 euros although you gave them 900 euros for courses, rental,... business before all. Last part: windsurf rental. Forgwr august it is not a good month in the North. Take the equipment and be autonomous. Dont forger to rent a car with roof bars to strap the stuff on the roof. You have to be autonomous: flag beach is not good for windsurfing: no steady wind, no waves. Go to el cotillo.

  Nice location. White sand and everything you need for wind sports. A small bar serves good sandwiches.

  Well i am very disappointed by my recent experience with this center. The beach is marvellous but no one should give 5 stars just because of the beach , we are assessing flag beach and not rhe beach. I booked 3 different things: 4×4h of intermediate lessons of windsurfing for one of my son, 4x4h of surf (beginner) and 12 days of windsurf rental. So first, the windsurf lessons: the teacher was really great but the equipment!! My god it is very old and out fashioned. What was really a shame was the place for the lessons: a so called lagoon where the longest dimension is 300m. My son learned absolutely nothing because he was put on the same group as beginners... the wind was absent (not the fault of flag beach) but they didn't propose to postpone the courses or to do it at the Corralejo beach. So windsurf lessons on these lagoon == a scam.

  I have done wave riding and wind surfing with Flagbeach and enjoyed it a lot. In my experience everything was very organised and the instructors were very helpful and friendly. I can´t share my opinion in regards to kite surfing because I haven´t tried it yet, however I know from staying in Flagbeach´ Surf Camp Sol y Mar, that in general people are always very happy about this course. In one week I met 2 different guests who came here just for kiting, they booked it with Flagbeach and they both already booked to come back this year. I like to share here that I wouldn´t take ´Seen Duffy´s´ review to serious. Since he had many complaints about the Sol y Mar Surf Camp too, which are simply not true. Again, I don´t know anything about the kiting course, so I don´t know if it´s true or not. But I do know by his other review that he seemed to have bad experiences where other people are having the time of their life. So maybe use your own judgment. The company is super busy and is having many, many repeating customers. It doesn´t make sense if it was that bad organised. Also, I don´t really believe that it´s that bad, I had such a good experience learning windsurfing and doing guided tours for normal surfing, since it´s the same company! I recommend this company without any hesitation.
